The best way to do this is to arrange to come and visit us at one of our formal club meetings which are held weekly:
1st January – 31 March / 1st October – 31st December
- Saturday: 1000 – 1400
- Sunday: 1200 – 1500
1st April – 30th September
- Thursday: 1700 – 2100
- Saturday: 1000 – 1400
- Sunday: 1200 – 1700
At these sessions you will be able to meet some of the members and ask any questions you may have. There will usually be a wide variety of models out on the flightline so you should be able to see some of them in action.
There may also be the possibility of having a flight on our dual-controlled trainer aircraft where one of our instructors will allow you to take control of the aircraft and experience the thrill of flying a model.
Flying is subject to the weather conditions and operations at the airfield. Sessions may be cancelled at short notice.
How to arrange your visit
- Dates for our formal flying sessions are listed on our Facebook page under “events”. If the date is listed, we are planning on flying.
- Simply select a date that you’d like to come down and then reserve your place via the ticketing link and we’ll take it from there. It’s really that simple.

- Visits are completely free of charge.
Visitor places are limited at each session due to safety restrictions.
There are no age restrictions but under-18’s MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Ards MFC will accept no responsibility for the care of U18’s.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate anyone who turns up unannounced.
