VISITING US

At the Club we are very keen to encourage anyone who is interested in getting involved in model flying.
The best way to do this is to arrange to come and visit us at one of our formal club meetings which are held weekly:
1st January – 31 March   / 1st October – 31st December
  • Saturday:   1000 – 1400
  • Sunday:      1200 – 1500

1st April – 30th September
  • Thursday:  1700 – 2100
  • Saturday:   1000 – 1400
  • Sunday:      1200 – 1700

At these sessions you will be able to meet some of the members and ask any questions you may have.  There will usually be a wide variety of models out on the flightline so you should be able to see some of them in action.

There may also be the possibility of having a flight on our dual-controlled trainer aircraft where one of our instructors will allow you to take control of the aircraft and experience the thrill of flying a model.

Flying is subject to the weather conditions and operations at the airfield.  Sessions may be cancelled at short notice.

How to arrange your visit

  • Dates for our formal flying sessions are listed on our Facebook page under  “events”.  If the date is listed, we are planning on flying.
  • Simply select a date that you’d like to come down and then reserve your place via the ticketing link and we’ll take it from there. It’s really that simple.
  • If you don’t have Facebook, you can go directly to the ticketing site here:  Visitor registration
  • Visits are completely free of charge.

Visitor places are limited at each session due to safety restrictions.

There are no age restrictions but under-18’s MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Ards MFC will accept no responsibility for the care of U18’s.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate anyone who turns up unannounced.

Please contact the Club if you require any further information.

We look forward to seeing you soon
